Take part in the Town of Fort Mill’s 10th Annual Scarecrow Crawl from October 4–31, 2024! This milestone event is a Fort Mill favorite that can be enjoyed by strolling through Downtown Fort Mill while admiring the creativity of Scarecrow entries designed by individuals, schools, businesses, organizations, and more.
Registration Details
Want to enter your own scarecrow? Registration is free and runs through September 6. The Scarecrow Route will cover Tom Hall Street, Main Street, Clebourne Street, N. & S. White Streets, Millstone Park, and Walter Elisha Park. This is such a fun opportunity to showcase your creativity and be part of this beloved community tradition!

– Scarecrow Install Week: September 27-October 3
– Scarecrow Crawl: October 4-31
– Judges’ Voting: Week of October 7
– Facebook Voting (Public): October 11-28
– Winners Announced: October 29 on Town of Fort Mill social media
– Scarecrow Removal: November 1-2
Registrations and sponsorship applications will be reviewed, and you will be notified via email by Wednesday, September 11, if you are approved.
Categories
A panel of judges will evaluate the scarecrows during the week of October 7 in the following categories:
– Most Fort Mill Spirit
– Most Creative
– Best School Entry
– Best Individual/Family Entry
– Best Name
– Most Complex Design
– Best Overall Scarecrow
Public Voting
From October 11 to 28, the community can vote for their favorites on the Town of Fort Mill’s Facebook page by liking photos in the “Scarecrow Crawl Album.” Winners will be selected for:
– People’s Choice
– Best Sponsor
– Town of Fort Mill Best Department Scarecrow
Winners will be announced on October 29 on the Town of Fort Mill’s social media channels.
