Get ready to lace up your running shoes as a beloved Fort Mill tradition returns for its fifth year! As part of the Town of Fort Mill’s South Carolina Strawberry Festival pre-festival events, the Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run will take place on Saturday, April 26, in Fort Mill’s historic downtown corridor.
This family-friendly race kicks off at 9:00AM with the 5K, followed by the one-mile fun run at 10:00AM. The scenic course begins and ends on Fort Mill’s Main Street, winding through charming residential streets.
Runners and spectators can enjoy a festive Runner’s Village at the finish line, featuring local merchants, food trucks, a kids’ zone, live music, and an energetic community vibe. Be on the lookout for Berry B. Good, Fort Mill’s cheerful strawberry mascot, along with the reigning Strawberry Queens, who will be part of the celebrations.
With its rolling hills and historic backdrop, this course offers a fun yet challenging experience for runners and walkers of all levels. Neighbors are known to line the streets, cheering participants on from their porches, adding to the community spirit that makes this event so special.
