Make It York County

York County is stepping into a new chapter with a unified vision for how the region shows up and grows. Unveiled at the 2025 York County Regional Chamber Awards, Make It York County is designed to spotlight the region’s vibrancy, economic strength, and quality of life.

This initiative brings together three key organizations: Visit York County, York County Regional Chamber, and York County Economic Development—all working toward a shared goal of telling a stronger, more cohesive story about York County.

Telling York County’s Story

Instead of separate efforts promoting tourism, business growth, and community development, this initiative brings everything together with aligned messaging and resources—highlighting the full picture of what York County has to offer.

From a growing business landscape and thriving small shops, to scenic outdoor spaces and community events, the goal is simple: make it easier for people to see the value of York County at every level.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just about attracting new businesses (though that’s part of it). It’s about creating long-term momentum for the people who already live and work here, too.

The initiative focuses on:

  • Supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs
  • Strengthening the community experience for residents
  • Attracting new visitors and future investment
  • Showcasing the lifestyle that makes people want to stay

It’s a more holistic approach—one that recognizes how closely connected tourism, economic growth, and community life really are.

What To Expect

This continuous effort, fueled by collaboration and active participation, already has a clear vision: a recognizable, unified identity that reflects both the energy and opportunity happening across the region.

And it’s not just about growth—it’s about preserving and celebrating what makes York County unique, from its local businesses and green spaces to its strong sense of community.

Free Toolkit for Small Businesses

As part of the broader initiative, local business owners and entrepreneurs now have access to a resource designed to simplify the business journey—whether you’re launching a new idea, looking to expand, or just need help finding the right contacts.

The Make It York County Small Business Toolkit is a free digital guide packed with practical tools, checklists, and resources that cover everything from permits and funding to networking and marketing. It’s the kind of resource that can save hours of searching and uncertainty, empowering business owners to focus on what really matters: building their business.

A First Look

Check out the brand teaser video that offers an early glimpse into what Make It York County represents. Through storytelling and visuals, it captures the spirit of the area and sets the tone for what’s ahead.

As York County grows, having a clear, unified voice helps bring more attention to the area while also building a deeper sense of pride for the people who call it home. When it all comes together, it has the power to elevate everything from small businesses to local events.
