The Town of Fort Mill is proud to announce the opening of its new municipal parking lot at the top of Main Street, adding 67 much-needed spaces to support our growing downtown community.

The project officially opened to the public on September 15, and offers a convenient way to access downtown shopping, dining, and events.

With downtown Fort Mill continuing to thrive, parking has become a top priority. This new lot makes it easier than ever for residents and visitors to support local businesses and enjoy all that Main Street has to offer.

About the Project

While the lot took longer than expected to complete, the Town remained committed to ensuring the work was done right — and safely. Delays were caused by unforeseen utility conflicts, weather, and supply chain challenges, but the end result is a long-term investment in accessibility and convenience for the community.

You can access the lot from Tom Hall Street or Springs Street, and guess what? It’s completely free! It also features LED lighting, sidewalks, new landscaping, and full ADA accessibility.

This additional parking is designed to make downtown visits easier and more enjoyable, whether you’re grabbing a coffee, shopping at your favorite boutique, or attending a local event.
