Town of Fort Mill Veterans Day Ceremony and Collection Drive

On Monday, November 11, 2024, you’re invited to honor and pay tribute to our veterans at the Town of Fort Mill’s special Veterans Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial (106. N. White Street). 

Beginning at 10:30AM, this event will feature remarks from Mayor Guynn Savage, Fort Mill Town Council members, and the 2024 South Carolina Strawberry Queens. The Fort Mill High School Marine Corps JROTC will present and retire the colors, and the Fort Mill American Legion Post 43 will perform a Rifle Volley. Enjoy special musical performances, including The Star-Spangled Banner by Nichole Braasch and America the Beautiful by Eternal Harmony.

The Town is excited to welcome LTC Brian G. Forester, Commander of the 3rd Battalion, 39th Infantry Regiment, 165th Infantry Brigade, at Fort Jackson, SC, as the Guest Speaker.

Additional Details:

  • Complimentary Coffee: Knowledge Perk Coffee Co. will provide free coffee to veterans, their families, and guests from 9:30-11:30AM.
  • Road Closures: N. White Street (Main to McCammon) will be closed from 9:00AM until noon.
  • Parking: Available at Veterans Park, 106 N. White Street, until 10:15AM.

What a great opportunity for the community to come together to honor all who have served.

Veterans Day Collection Drive

The Town of Fort Mill is also hosting a collection drive from November 1-11 to benefit the USO of North Carolina. The USO of NC supports military members and their families as they travel through Charlotte Regional Airport. Donations can be dropped off at Fort Mill Town Hall through November 11.Click here to view a complete list of items needed.
