2 December 2025

By Anna Culver | Fort Mill Now

There’s no place quite like Fort Mill during the holidays. Throughout December, the town shines with twinkling lights, celebrations, and festive traditions for all ages. From a parade and a cookie crawl, to beautiful Christmas trees and moments with Santa, this month is packed with ways to make memories.

Thursday, Dec. 4 — Fort Mill Christmas Village & Tree Lighting

The season officially begins downtown as Fort Mill hosts its annual Christmas Village & Tree Lighting. From 5–8 p.m., Walter Elisha Park comes alive with its Christmas Village of vendors, holiday treats, a trackless train, plus community entertainment from local elementary school choirs and dance teams. As the community gathers to illuminate the town Christmas tree (6 p.m.), you’ll feel the spirit of the season shining bright!

Dec. 5–6 — Fort Mill Tree Fest

A brand-new holiday celebration debuts this year at St. John’s United Methodist Church! Explore 19 uniquely decorated Christmas trees, each designed by a local nonprofit to showcase the incredible work happening throughout our community. This two-day Tree Fest is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy holiday décor while learning about organizations making a difference.

Saturday, Dec. 6 — 78th Annual Fort Mill Christmas Parade

A beloved hometown tradition returns as the Christmas Parade marches through downtown Fort Mill this Saturday at 11 a.m. Expect festive floats, marching bands, and local performers as they parade down Tom Hall Street to Main Street and North White Street, ending at Clebourne Street. Find your spot along the route and enjoy this holiday tradition!

Saturday, Dec. 6 — Kingsley Holiday Celebration

Looking for more fun after the parade? Head to Kingsley Town Center for a Cookie Crawl and a full afternoon of holiday celebrations! Enjoy meet-and-greets with Santa and Mrs. Claus, falling faux snow, performances by school choirs, seasonal treats, and lively photo ops.

Saturday, Dec. 6 — Miracle on Main Street

Downtown Fort Mill will transform into a charming holiday destination this Saturday! From 4-8 pm., take a spin on the trolley while you admire the twinkling lights, visit Santa’s Workshop for kid-friendly crafts and activities, browse the Yuletide Market featuring local vendors, and soak in the festive décor and entertainment. It’s holiday magic on Main Street at its finest!

Wednesday, Dec. 10 – Making Spirits Bright Walking Tour

This is your last chance to catch the Fort Mill History Museum’s Walking Tour! From 6:30-8:45 p.m. you will visit three local venues for a drink and story-telling, including some seasonal songs. Your $20 ticket grants you jolly guides to host you as you celebrate the holidays, past and present.

Saturday, Dec. 13 — Old-Fashioned Christmas Celebration

Travel back in time at the Fort Mill History Museum’s family-friendly Christmas event on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Meet Santa, listen to seasonal stories, make a pioneer craft, and warm up by the fire while roasting marshmallows. Don’t forget to explore the museum on a guided tour and pick up unique holiday gifts in the shop.

With so many ways to celebrate, December in Fort Mill is sure to be merry and bright. Grab your family and friends, bundle up, and enjoy all the seasonal joy our town has to offer!
